Install FreeBSD Ports Collection

Synopsis:

The FreeBSD Ports and Packages Collection offers a simple way for users and administrators to install applications. There are currently over 30 thousand ports available.

I. Installing Using Portsnap.
Log into the Freebsd system as root. (Assumes networking is already configured.)

# portsnap fetch extract
#

II. Update existing Ports Tree.

#
# portsnap fetch update
#
